Thoughts

Nicky you were the first friend I made at work, I remember it vividly, we were having cake for someone’s birthday and you said ‘Hello, we haven’t met yet, I’m Nicky’. Who knew how much our friendship would blossom from that point. Working in the lab together we would always chat about things, usually the soaps with you filling me in on what I’d missed. But one day the conversation turned to how I had never eaten lobster, so you said you’d take me out for dinner, and true to your word you did. Thus was born our regular dinner dates. We went everywhere didn’t we, literally exhausted all of the local restaurants that we started going round again. Without fail you’d have a full fat coke with no ice and if sausage was on the menu, you have bangers and mash. Over the years I grew to love you so much and I hope you knew how much you meant to me. You were my confidant, my voice of reason, the one who was not shy in telling me when I was being unreasonable but most of all my friend! I have so many fond memories of our time together and I will treasure them dearly. Nicky, I love you and I will miss you so much. So until we meet again for our next dinner date, rest in peace my dear friend. Matt sends his love and says he hopes they haven’t got 5S where you are now. He knows how much you ‘loved’ it.
